The current housing quality score (HQS) is a 35.39. This number indicates that the current housing market is very strong. One key number to look at is the percentage of the 30 year mortgage price divided by the personal income amount. The current number is 5.8%. In 2000 and 2006, this number was over 11%, meaning that for the median priced home, over 11% of that persons income was going toward making...(Read More)

The Economic Quality Score as of March 5th, 2017 is a 32. That is almost as high it is has ever been since the index started being tracked in 1990. This is showing that the economy is very strong at the moment and that the stock market should rise 1-2% per month if the economy is staying at this level. A strong manufacturing number was released Wednesday and the Fiscal stress index improved. An eye...(Read More)

The Economic Quality Score as of February 19th, 2017 is a 32. That is almost as high it is has ever been since the index started being tracked in 1990. This is showing that the economy is very strong at the moment and that the stock market should rise 1-2% per month if the economy is staying at this level. AN OLD PROBLEM LINGERS INTO THE NEW YEAR
The stock sell-off in China roiled European equity markets, causing the pan-European Stoxx 600 Index to log its steepest weekly drop since August 2011. This week’s 6.7% decline was deeper than the summer of 2015, the last time China stocks widely tumbled. The export-heavy German DAX index, for the first time since October, fell below 10,000 points during...(Read More)

STOCKS OFF TO POOR START IN 2016
U.S. stocks got off to their worst four-day start to the year ever in the week—with the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index falling nearly 5%. A very favorable monthly payrolls report on Friday seemed at first poised to help the market regain its footing, but sentiment soon soured again and stocks ended the week on a down note.
