Anti-Trump vs Pro-Trump

Anti-Trump vs Pro-Trump
Written by Steve Dowling on 2017-01-25

With all of the divide right now between Pro-Trump and Anti-Trump Americans, I feel like I have to put a few of my thoughts out there. I do not consider myself a left wing liberal,...(Read More)

The Legacy Of President Obama

The Legacy Of President Obama
Written by Steve Dowling on 2017-01-20

Now that Barack Obama is no longer the President of the United States, it is time to look at the legacy of President Obama and see his place in history. He did many great things for the United States, and I hope that most people appreciate what he did for our country.

From an economic viewpoint, Obama was very strong. When he took over, the country was on the brink of a collapse. There were multiple...(Read More)

Donald Trump and Safety

Donald Trump and Safety
Written by Steve Dowling on 2016-07-26

Donald Trump talks about wanting to make America safe again, however he does not seem to think that the gun laws in the United States should be tighter and harsher. The murders by gun in the United States rivals many countries in Central and South America. The United States should look at countries such as Japan to see how their gun laws show that the homicide rate will decline.

If Donald Trump were...(Read More)

Common Sense Party
Written by Steve Dowling on 2016-06-14

My wife and I were discussing politics following the terrible shootings and Orlando and we think we have come up with a way to make a better America.

One thing that we obviously believe needs to be addressed is gun control. We both think that there should be much stronger laws on both who can get guns and what kind of guns should be sold. Under our party, we would propose allowing only hunting...(Read More)

Mitt Romney wins Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Wyoming and Mississippi.

Barack Obama wins Michigan, New York and New Jersey.

The totals are Romney 152, Obama 123.

Still several states too close to call. Interesting that Michigan may have been a swing state, but the auto bailout seemed to help significantly. Perhaps this will help in Ohio as well....(Read More)

Election Shaping Up For Obama

Election Shaping Up For Obama
Written by Steve Dowling on 2012-11-06

The Presidential Election is shaping up to go in favor of Barack Obama. It appears as though Mitt Romney will have to win both Ohio and Florida in order to win the election.

Based on current results in both states, especially Florida, it does not look as though Romney will have enough votes to win. Only way he may have a chance is a re-count....(Read More)
