The Woman in Black Starring Daniel Radcliffe
The Woman in Black is a film in which Daniel Radcliffe breaks away from his usual role as Harry Potter. The movie can be summarized with one word, "SCARY". If you are looking for a movie where there is a lot of action and entertainment, this is not the movie for you. If you are looking for a movie that will keep your heart beating, palms sweating, and eyes not want to looking at the screen due to fear, this is definitely a movie you will want to see.
The movie takes place in the early 1900's in England. Radcliffe plays Arthur Kipps, a young lawyer who is struggling at his job and goes to a remote location in northern England to work on the estate of Jennet, a woman who has died. There are a lot of papers so the work cannot be done at the office. Kipps, whose wife died giving his son birth, has arranged for his son to meet him a few days later. There are a lot of unfortunate circumstances that happen in the town, which lead to untimely deaths. The town thinks that it is all because of the woman in black. There are many graphic still images which make this a very scary movie.
I give the movie a 7.5 out of 10.
