Yoozpaper Scrapbooks: Tutorial

February 2, 2012 in Instructions

On Yoozpaper, scrapbooks are a feature where Yoozers can upload photos into albums for later viewing as either an individual photo, album, or photo slideshow. These can be used on an individual level or at a group level. Yoozpaper scrapbooks are a great way to keep your photos in an organized place. The uploader can add a caption to their picture. Once the picture is loaded on to Yoozpaper, anyone that is a fellow Yoozer of that person can view and comment on that picture.

The best part of Yoozpaper scrapbooks are that many people can upload photos to the same album. If there is a large party, anyone that is a member of a created group can upload into that scrapbook. This makes it much quicker and easier to view pictures from a large event or a night out with friends.

How Yoozpaper Groups Work: Tutorial

January 29, 2012 in Instructions

Yoozpaper is a network of online newspapers written by individuals or groups. Yoozpaper allows users to create custom papers based on keywords; scrapbooks of images; and comment on users articles. Yoozpaper allows Yoozers to submit a free press release, create a free online newsletter, submit free articles and creates a free article directory.

Yoozpaper Groups are an incredible innovative way of writing articles and creating scrapbooks. The idea behind Yoozpaper Groups are that groups of fellow Yoozers can collaborate to write articles and posts for created newspapers, as well as upload photos in a group setting. To create a group, the Yoozer can either go to the Create Groups like or to the Groups Home Page. The Yoozer that creates the group becomes the “Editor” of the group. They can also enter a website for that group.  The Yoozer then clicks on the group from the Groups Home Page and goes to the specific group home. Here, the editor has the ability to create a newspaper or scrapbook. Group members can also send an e-mail to a member of their choosing. There are security features built in to the group.

The editor can invite a Yoozer to become of member of their group by going to their profile page, an inviting them to a group. Once the Yoozer accepts, they can write articles and upload photos to a Scrapbook. Note that the editor has final approval for an article to go onto an actual newspaper. Once a Yoozer has had an article approved, they can also write Yoozpaper Direct posts. Any member in a group can upload photos to a scrapbook.

The reason why Yoozers would want to write as a group is that more members can write an article on the same topic, thereby getting out more collaborative articles. It will make Yoozpaper a more social and fun, community-oriented website. Yoozers will be able to create great photo albums, with separate people uploading photos to the same album. It is a great thing to have if there is going to be an event with a lot of people where everyone uploading to the same group will be easy.

Of course, the full navigation menu is shown on this page. At the bottom are links to browse Yoozpaper, the blog, and the Yoozpaper social media pages.

How Does The Yoozpaper Work?

September 3, 2011 in Instructions

So how exactly does The Yoozpaper work and what is The Yoozpaper. The Yoozpaper is the newspaper on Yoozpaper which combines the most popular articles across the entire network of all Yoozpapers, whether individual or group. Every time an article is read or commented on, another view is counted. The 5 most viewed articles are on the front page of The Yoozpaper. There are also sections for news relating to world, business, arts, sports, weather, technology, education, home, and travel. When an article is written, the Yoozer classifies it to a category. The 5 most popular articles for each category goes onto their respective page and can be read from there.

Only articles from papers which have the rights set to public are eligible to make it to The Yoozpaper. This maintains their privacy rights. The articles that are on The Yoozpaper are articles which are written within a specific period of time. For instance, currently articles written within the past 30 days are eligible to be on The Yoozpaper. As more articles are written, this date will come down.

Yoozers can also create custom papers which can be back-dated and customized Yoozpapers. For instance a Yoozer may want to see articles which were written 30 to 60 days ago. They can check this by all articles, category, keyword and category, or strictly keyword.

Online Scrapbooks on Yoozpaper

August 29, 2011 in Instructions

Yoozer’s and groups can create their own online photo albums, known as Yoozpaper Scrapbooks, on Yoozpaper. There are several fun features to creating a Scrapbook, as it is not just about uploading and viewing pictures. These Scrapbooks will make it fun to visit Yoozpaper even if you do not like to write or read articles.

It is very simple to create a Scrapbook on Yoozpaper. From the member page, the Yoozer will click on the Scrapbook link at the top. Upon clicking here you will have a form to upload images, a form to create a Scrapbook, and a list of the Scrapbooks currently created, along with the number of pictures and date created of each album. To create a Scrapbook, enter the information on the form, including creating an interesting Scrapbook to better remember why this was created. Once this has been created, Yoozer’s can begin uploading photos to the website. Once in a specific Scrapbook, the Yoozer will see a multi-column array of photos, with titles, dates, and captions under each. The Yoozer may click in to each photo to view the photo at a larger size, as well as to see other Yoozer’s comments on that photo or to comment on photos. Yoozer’s can also view the photos at slideshow if they would like to play a loop of photos for their friends to see. Note that all photos in the Scrapbooks are avaialable to fellow Yoozer’s of the Scrapbooks creator.

The same features are also found in the groups section of Yoozpaper. From the member page, click on Groups and the Yoozer will see a list of any groups that he or she is in. If you are the editor of that group, you can create a Scrapbook and upload photos into it. If you are simply a writer in the group, you cannot create a Scrapbook, but you can still upload photos into it. The great thing about a Yoozpaper Scrapbook is that anyone in the group can be uploading photos at anytime, it is not limited to one person who can load photos. This can be done at a computer or on a mobile device, so Yoozers can be uploading photos from anywhere. The same privacy rights are in place.

I hope you like the Scrapbook features on Yoozpaper. This adds a fun and multimedia element to that website that separates the site from other article writing sites. Go ahead and have fun trying it out!
